I am a junior in the AeroAstro department at MIT. My interests and work so far have focused on propulsion, from electric propulsion (through grad classes and MISTI) to gas turbine and liquid rocket propulsion (through Unified, Rocket Team, and internships). As such, I've been in and out of MIT Rocket Team's Liquid Propulsion subteam and gotten a chance to work in a few internships. I hope to spend this summer at a launch vehicle company, helping to put real things into space in cool ways.
On a personal note, I was born and raised in Miami to a Cuban family. I am an avid salsa dancer, heavily involved in MIT Casino Rueda, our Cuban salsa group. I can almost never refuse an invitation to dance. I also dabble in linear salsa and bachata. I am also heavily involved in the Tech Catholic Community and Skullhouse. I love being outdoors and hiking, of which my favorite experience so far has been while doing MISTI in Chile. In the south, I hiked along the skirt of a volcano on the Argentine border and passed through three glacial lakes. Such an impressive environment. I also love listening to lots of music. Ask me about my music tastes!
