things that excite me:

  • music visualization
  • kitchen gadgets
  • sound/light that reacts to the environment

I'm thinking of whether or not I should build upon/remake a previous project of mine that used an Arduino Micro to essentially create a visual synthesizer for Touchdesigner that would take in a camera input and allow the user to change things like audio sensitivity, color, and noise. It was pretty low tech because it had to be plugged into a computer with the Touchdesigner file at all times in order to work. I'm curious if there's a way to embed a micro projector into it? Or experiment with a screen to display the visuals directly.

My other idea I'm gravitating towards is a speaker that has an audio reactive component such as an LED grid. I want to create an object that combines visuals and audio in some way. I think my next steps are to figure out the feasibility of these projects and finalize one of them.
