Hi, I'm Michal! This is my page for the 2026 How to Make (Almost) Anything class at MIT. A quick info about me: I did my undergrad in Cybernetics and Robotics in Prague, Czech Republic, and now I am pursuing my Master's degree at the MIT Center for Bits and Atoms. Although my background is in controls, I currently work with FPGAs and electronics, with interests of learning more about chip design.

As you'll see on this website, I am fascinated by vintage computing and displays—and, of course, dangerous things. In fact, it was Tesla coils and high voltage that sparked my interest in electronics when I was roughly 13 years old. I also worked on laser systems, including the world's second-strongest handheld laser. If you have any questions about any of my projects, please feel free to reach out!
